These terms govern use of the Sereno application and website.
1. The service
Sereno is a personal budgeting app with manual entry. It works without an account (local data) and offers an optional free account for cross-device sync. No artificial-intelligence features (receipt OCR scanning, opaque auto-categorization, etc.) are offered.
2. Free forever & voluntary support
The service is free forever: guest mode and sync account, with no ads and no commercial exploitation of your data. No paid plan gates features. Voluntary support (one-time donation) may be offered via Stripe Payment Links on theSupport page; it is never required and unlocks no paid “tier.”
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use. Minimum age with an account is 15.
4. Your data
Data you enter belongs to you. You may export it anytime and request account deletion (see theprivacy policy).
5. Not financial advice
Sereno shows totals, breakdowns, and projections from what you enter. These are readability tools,not financial, tax, or investment advice.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to compromise the service: no unauthorized access to other users’ data, no deliberate overload, no illegal use.
7. Availability & changes
Sereno is an independent project provided “as is.” Features may evolve; if sync is discontinued, reasonable notice and export options will be given. Local mode depends on no server.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages from using the service. Nothing excludes liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Governing law
French law. Amicable resolution sought before litigation; otherwise French courts have jurisdiction.
