Sereno is a budgeting app: privacy isn’t fine print — it’s the product.

Without an account: nothing leaves your device
In guest mode, all your data — transactions, accounts, budgets, categories, optional receipt photos — is storedonly in your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB). It is not sent to any server. Receipt photos arenever analyzed by AI or sent to an OCR service.
With an account: the minimum, in the EU
If you create an account (optional and free), we process:

Stored at Supabase (EU, AWS eu-west-1), isolated per user (row-level security). The site is served byCloudflare (technical IP logs, legitimate interest).
Voluntary support (Stripe)
If you choose to support Sereno via a Stripe Payment Link, payment is processed by Stripe. Sereno does not store your card numbers. Stripe processes payment data under its own policy. This processing is based on performing the donation transaction you initiate.

What Sereno does not do
- No bank connection.
- No ads, no selling your data.
- No tracking cookies; no analytics tool at this time.
- No profiling, no automated decision-making, no AI processing of receipts.
Retention
- Guest mode: on your device, as long as you keep it.
- Account: while the account exists, then deleted on request.
